Start with the top of the page
Two blocks sit above everything else, and they carry the most weight. Fill these in first even if you do nothing else today.1
Who you are
Your one-liner — the business in a sentence. Your audience — who
you are for, in their words rather than a demographic. And the market
you’re in, so Goosy knows what he is comparing you against.
2
Offer and goal
What you sell, the promise you make to a buyer, and — separately —
what you are trying to achieve right now. The goal is the part people
skip and the part that most changes what Goosy suggests, because it is the
difference between “make me content” and “make me content that does this”.
Then how you sound
Below those, an Everything else section opens up the detail. It is described on the screen as the place to go when you want to get specific — Goosy writes from all of it.Your never-say words are the same list Compliance checks drafts against. One
list, two places — so adding a phrase here also stops it appearing in
anything that goes out.
Your look
Visual identity on the same screen holds your colours and shows how many you have stored. Open Brand Kit takes you to the full set — logos, colours and type — and the Brand kit tab at the top of the Brand screen goes to the same place. Two more tabs sit beside it: Intros & outros for the top and tail of your videos, and Inference for what Goosy has worked out on his own.The four settings people miss
Once the Brand screen is filled in, four more settings do most of the remaining work. All four are in Settings, under the Workspace heading.1
Timezone
Under Settings → Defaults. This is the clock your workspace works to —
what “Tuesday at 9” means when Goosy schedules something. Set it before you
schedule anything, not after.
2
Strategy
Settings → Strategy holds your strategic statements: mission, vision,
positioning, value proposition, differentiator, strategic goal, content
pillars, competitive stance and audience promise. Everything Goosy makes is
scored against the ones you have declared.
3
Taste
Settings → Taste is what this workspace has learned from your own
feedback — the notes every future run reads before it starts. You do not
write it from scratch; it fills up as you approve and reject things, which
is why the second month is easier than the first.
4
Compliance
Settings → Compliance holds standing disclosures, banned claims and
your posture if you work in a regulated industry. A locked disclosure’s
text cannot be edited while it stays locked.
