Emails in the sidebar is where email work is made. Every start lands on a sequence board — even a one-off send, which is simply a sequence of one. Goosy does not send your marketing email. Emails is where you build, design and finish it; the sending happens in Goosy Grow (CRM), so your sending reputation, your unsubscribes and your replies all stay in one place.

What are we making today?

Four ways in: A sequence type opens a small picker rather than navigating away. Four shapes, each opening a board with its arc already laid out: The opening count is a starting shape, never a limit — every board is reorderable and extendable. Below the doors, Pick up where you left off holds the sequences you were last writing, and On deck suggests shapes this workspace has not used yet. On deck is absent rather than empty when there is nothing to suggest.

The sequence board

The board is the sequence: one block per email, in order, with the spacing between them set on the board’s own rail. Open a block to write that email — subject, preview and body — and the design it is dressed in. Reordering the blocks and changing the spacing are both done on the board, so the shape of the arc and the timing of it are the same picture.

Templates

From a template opens the templates surface, where a dressed design is picked and filled. Templates are yours to keep and reuse; a starter set is there before you have made any of your own.

Sending it — the handoff

When a sequence is finished, the board’s last step asks one question: How should these go out? Your emails are finished; this picks how they reach people, and Goosy Grow (CRM) takes it from there. Send now and Schedule it ask you to pick an audience. Audiences come from Goosy Grow (CRM) and are pulled in for you to choose from — building and cleaning lists happens there. If there are none yet, the page says so rather than showing you an empty picker. Wire into an automation does not ask for an audience, because the automation decides who and when. It hands the emails over and opens the builder where you choose what starts it. After the handoff, the page tells you exactly what you just set in motion — where the emails now are, what they are dated from, and what still has to happen for them to go out.

Three things this step does not do, and why

  • Send it from here. Goosy does not send marketing email. Emails is the pathway for it — build the sequence, design it, and hand it over; the handover is what sends. Your sending reputation, your unsubscribes and your replies all stay in one place.
  • Build the automation here. Automations live in Goosy Grow (CRM), alongside the rest of your customer’s journey, so what you wire in can hand off to everything else you already run.
  • Build a new audience here. Your audiences live in Goosy Grow (CRM), so there is one list to keep clean. Build the segment there and it appears in this list.

If nothing is connected yet

The sequence still finishes. The page says so — finished, they’re yours — and gives you the emails to copy out and paste wherever you send from. Connect Goosy Grow (CRM) later and this step hands them over for you.
