# Your data and privacy

> Where your material lives in Goosy Bear, who can see it, how to get a copy of it, and how to remove it.

Everything you put into Goosy Bear — uploads, briefs, settings, and the work
Goosy makes from them — belongs to one **workspace**. Your **account** is the
entity that holds the plan, the people and the billing; a workspace is one
business, brand or client inside it. Most people have exactly one workspace and
never have to think about the distinction.

## Workspaces do not share

A workspace is a closed box. Its content, its settings, its connected channels
and its knowledge are its own, and nothing crosses from one workspace to
another on its own. If you run two businesses on one account, the second one
does not learn from the first, and neither does what Goosy writes for it.

The same boundary applies to Goosy himself. He can reach what the person asking
can reach, and nothing else — so an assistant cannot become a way around a
permission you did not grant.

## Who on your account can see it

People on your account hold one of four roles — **Owner**, **Admin**, **Member**
or **Client** — and what someone can see follows from their role and from the
workspaces they have been added to. **Client** is the guest role: a client sees
the work you have shared with them and nothing else.

Uploads and finished pieces are stored privately, not at public web addresses.
The links used to view or download them are time-limited rather than permanent.

## Support sees nothing unless you say yes

If support needs to look at your account to help with something, they ask, and
the answer is yours. Under **Settings → Support access** you can answer a
request, see who is looking right now, and stop it in one click. It is a
per-person consent — nobody else on the account gives it for you, and nobody
looks without it.

## Getting a copy of your data

There are two exports, and they cover different things. Both are free.

| Export | Where | Who can ask | What it covers |
| ------------- | ------------------ | ---------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| **Workspace** | Settings → Data | Owner or admin | Everything the workspace you are working in has given us — briefs, settings and schedules as structured files, plus time-limited links to its media. One workspace, not the whole account. |
| **Personal** | Settings → Profile | Anyone, for themselves | Your own record — your profile, the things you created, and the choices you have made. |

Ask for a copy and it is built in the background; larger accounts take a few
minutes. A finished copy stays downloadable for **7 days**, then the file is
deleted — ask for a fresh one whenever you need it. Every copy lists what it
contains and what it leaves out, and anything we worked out about you rather
than received from you is named in that list and deliberately not included.

If you are a member rather than an owner or admin, you can still download your
own data from your profile.

## Removing things

Closing a workspace or an account is scheduled, not immediate. Both live under
**Settings → Data**:

* **Closing a workspace** removes everything made under it — content, uploads,
  schedules. The rest of the account is untouched.
* **Closing the account** removes everything under it, including every
  workspace and every member's access.

Either way, **nothing is removed for 30 days**, and one click calls it off at
any point until then. Closing the whole account is an owner's decision.

Invoices, tax records and the record of which terms you accepted are kept even
after a deletion runs, because the law requires them.

## The legal documents

**Settings → Legal** shows the terms and policies you have accepted, when you
accepted them, and the exact text you were shown at the time. It is your own
record — it shows what you signed, not what anyone else on the account did.

The current documents live on our website:

* [Privacy policy](https://goosybear.ai/privacy)
* [Terms](https://goosybear.ai/terms)
* [Data processing addendum](https://goosybear.ai/dpa)
* [Sub-processors](https://goosybear.ai/subprocessors)
* [Data deletion](https://goosybear.ai/data-deletion)

Those documents are the authority on how we handle your data. This page
describes where the controls are in the product; where the two ever differ, the
policy is what governs.
