# Your dashboard

> What the dashboard shows you: what needs you, yesterday at a glance, this week's briefing, and your own board.

**Dashboard** is the first screen after you sign in and the first entry in the
side menu. It answers one question — *what should I do next?* — and it is a
single page you read top to bottom. There are no tabs.

## What needs you

The strip under the page title is the short list of things waiting on a person.
It leads with a count, shows the three most urgent, and gives each one a badge
saying what kind of decision it is:

| **Approval**      | Something is waiting for a yes before it goes ahead.              |
| **Change**        | A proposed change to your settings or your material.              |
| **Piece**         | A piece of content waiting to be finished or reviewed.            |
| **Asset**         | An image, video or file waiting to be reviewed.                   |
| **Spend**         | Money is about to be committed and needs a person.                |
| **Publish check** | Something published, and the check afterwards did not confirm it. |
| **Reply**         | A drafted reply to a message, waiting for you to send it.         |
| **Offer**         | An offer you can take or leave.                                   |

Every row shows how long it has been waiting. Rows you can settle on the spot
carry the decision as a button — a spend row, for example, reads *Approve a \$840
Meta Ads campaign* with **Approve** right there. The rest carry **Open**, which
takes you to the item where the decision is made. If more are waiting than fit,
the last row says how many and links to the full queue.

If one of the queues behind the strip cannot be read at that moment, the strip
says so rather than quietly showing you a shorter list.

  Once somebody else on your account picks an item up it leaves your strip, so
  two people do not work the same decision at once. It stays in the full queue,
  labelled with who has it.

## This week's briefing

The briefing is Goosy's written read on the week, and it opens with **Yesterday
at a glance** — a plain row of yesterday's advertising numbers, drawn straight
from your ad accounts with no interpretation in between. If your workspace has
no advertising connected, that row is not there at all rather than showing you
zeros.

Under it sits the briefing itself: a headline, a paragraph of narrative, then
**Highlights**, **Watch-outs** and **Next moves**. Each section has a **Discuss
this** button that hands that part to Goosy, and there is one for the whole
briefing at the foot. A suggestion you are not ready for can be set aside with
**Not now**.

A new briefing is written for your Monday; arrows beside the date step back
through earlier weeks.

Beside the narrative is a column of the figures it is talking about — week
health, what is waiting on you, pieces in flight, your monthly goal, ad spend,
conversions — each labelled with how current it is, so you can check the story
against the numbers without leaving the page.

## Your board

The bottom of the page is **Your board**: a grid of tiles that stays put while
the briefing above it changes each week. The briefing is the news; the board is
what you always want in view. It is dated from the day you started it and says
so.

Two ways to add a tile:

* **Add element**, on the board itself.
* **Ask Goosy.** Say what you want watched and for how long — for example,
  *"add a chart of ad spend for the last 28 days, and expire it in two weeks"* —
  and the tile appears.

Drag tiles anywhere, or move them from the keyboard: focus a tile's move handle,
press Enter to pick it up, then use the arrow keys. Each tile has its own
controls to ask Goosy about it, open it full screen, edit it, or remove it.

## Your first visit

A brand-new Account sees a panel above everything else showing what Goosy has
already set up from what you told him when you signed up. It is there for the
first run only: once it finishes, or once you close it to go exploring, the
dashboard is the page described above and nothing else.
