# Your first week

> The weekly rhythm — the Monday briefing, the things that need you, the review queue, and the schedule board.

Goosy Bear works in weeks. Once your brand is set and your channels are
connected, the product settles into a rhythm you can run in well under an hour
a week. Four screens carry it.

## Monday — read the briefing

Open the **Dashboard**. Your briefing refreshes every Monday and is written for
that week.

It opens with a headline and a paragraph in plain language — what happened,
what held, what slipped — then three lists:

* **Highlights** — what went well, and by how much.
* **Watch-outs** — what is about to become a problem.
* **Next moves** — what Goosy suggests you do about it, each with a reason.

Beside it sit the numbers the briefing is describing: the health of the week,
what is waiting on you, pieces in flight, your monthly leads goal, ad spend and
conversions. Each card says how fresh it is, so you can tell a live number from
a Monday snapshot.

If a line raises a question, press **Discuss this** on that section and ask
Goosy directly — he has the same week in front of him.

Use the arrows above the briefing to read earlier weeks. Nothing is thrown away.

## Any day — clear what needs you

**Needs you** at the top of the Dashboard is the short version: a count, and
the most urgent few, each with its action attached. Most weeks you can clear it
from there without going anywhere else.

When there is more than a few, go to **Review**. It is one queue for every kind
of decision, most urgent first, and it says how long each has been waiting.
Filter it by kind:

| Kind | What it is |
| ------------------ | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Pieces** | Something you are publishing, ready for you. |
| **Assets** | An image, a video or a recording to sign off. |
| **Spend** | Money about to be committed. Always yours to decide. |
| **Changes** | A change to something already running. |
| **Approvals** | A decision that is not about content — what Goosy knows about you, for example. |
| **Publish checks** | Something that did not go out, and needs you to say what happens now. |
| **Replies** | A reply to a customer, waiting for your word. |
| **Offers** | Offers put in front of you. |

Each row carries its own actions — approve, deny, send back, open, or read it
first. A row that needs reading before deciding says so rather than offering you
a one-click approve.

<Note>
Some replies always wait for you and some only wait in certain conditions —
a message more than a day old, for instance. The row tells you which case it
is in. **How sign-offs are set up**, at the top of the queue, is where those
  rules live.
</Note>

## Midweek — look at the board

**Schedule** is the week laid out as a grid: days across the top, and lanes
down the side for **Posts**, **Stories**, **Shorts & clips** and **Long form**.
Each lane shows how full it is against what you planned for it — *0 of 5
planned* — so a thin week is visible at a glance rather than at the end of it.

Empty slots offer to **Add**. **New piece** starts one from scratch, and the
header names the week you are looking at, with **Today** to come back to the
current one.

A piece on the grid shows its state — draft, scheduled, out — and its time.
Anything that failed to publish is called out above the grid rather than left
in the lane looking normal.

## Whenever — your inbox

The counter in the top bar is everything waiting on you. **Notifications**
holds the full list: *work handed to you, approvals waiting on you, and
anything that went wrong*. Filter it to **Unread**, or mark the lot read.

It carries three kinds of thing: notifications about your own work, replies
from support, and platform status when something on our side is affected. They
sit in one list so there is one place to look.

## The rhythm, in short

| When | Screen | What you do |
| -------------- | --------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------- |
| Monday | **Dashboard** | Read the briefing. Take or decline the next moves. |
| Daily, briefly | **Dashboard** or **Review** | Clear what needs you. |
| Midweek | **Schedule** | Check the week is full and nothing failed. |
| As it lands | **Notifications** | Answer support, notice anything that went wrong. |
| Ongoing | **Goosy Does…** | Ask for the next thing. |

## What to do next

You have the loop. From here, the rest of the guides go deeper into each
screen — and if you would rather drive the same account from your own tools,
start at the **[Quickstart](/quickstart)**.
