# Your first day

> Sign in, tell Goosy about your business, and learn what the Dashboard is showing you.

Your first day takes about ten minutes. Sign in, say a few sentences about your
business, and read the one screen that tells you what is going on.

## Sign in

Go to your sign-in page and enter your email and password. You can also choose
**Email me a sign-in link** and click the link that arrives, or **Continue with
Google** if that is how your email is set up.

<Note>
  Accounts are created by invitation. If you do not have one yet, ask an owner
  or admin on your account to invite you — there is no sign-up form.
</Note>

You land on the **Dashboard**.

## The three parts of every screen

Everything in Goosy Bear sits in the same frame, so once you know these three
you know where you are.

<Steps>
  <Step title="The left rail — where you go">
    The top of the rail is the work you do every week: **Dashboard**,
    **Schedule**, **Review**, **Analytics** and **Boards**. Below it, a
    **Create** group holds the places things get made — [Splash Pad](/work/boards), Images,
    Videos, Shorts, Posts, Ads and Emails. A **Grow** group sits underneath for
    the CRM add-on.
  </Step>

  <Step title="The top bar — where you are">
    Your account name, then the workspace you are working in, then the screen
    you are on. Use the workspace button to search your workspaces and switch
    between them. To its right: search, an inbox that counts the things waiting
    on you, and your own menu.
  </Step>

  <Step title="The right panel — Goosy">
    **Goosy Does…** is open on every screen. It knows which screen you are on —
    a **Context** line at the top says so — and it is where you ask for work.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Tell Goosy about your business

Open **Goosy Does…** and type a few sentences about what you sell and who buys
it. Plain language is fine; you are talking to him, not filling in a form.

Press `Enter` to send, or `Shift` + `Enter` for a new line. You can dictate
instead of typing, and `⌘` + `K` opens Goosy from anywhere.

Goosy answers from what your workspace actually holds. Ask him *"Show me what
needs me this week"* and he comes back with the approvals waiting, anything at
risk, and how far ahead you are planned — not a guess. Above the message box he
also offers a few suggestions you can click instead of typing.

That conversation is a good start, but the answers Goosy writes everything from
live on one screen. Filling that in is the next step:
[Set up your brand](/start/set-up-your-brand).

## What the Dashboard is showing you

The Dashboard describes itself as *your week the way Goosy would tell it — and
the board you two keep together*. It has three parts, top to bottom.

### Needs you

A counted strip of the things that cannot move without a decision from you.
Each row says what kind of decision it is — a spend, a piece, an asset — how
long it has been waiting, and gives you the action right there. **Open the
queue** takes you to the full list in Review.

### Your weekly briefing

A short written summary of the week, refreshed every Monday, with
**Highlights**, **Watch-outs** and **Next moves**. Use the arrows beside it to
read earlier weeks.

Beside the briefing sit the numbers it is talking about — week health, what is
waiting on you, pieces in flight, your monthly leads goal, ad spend and
conversions. Each card says how current it is, and says plainly where a number
comes from when that matters: conversions are the advertising platform's own
count, not one reconciled against your CRM.

Every part of the briefing has a **Discuss this** button that hands that
section to Goosy so you can ask about it.

### Your board

A board you and Goosy curate together. **Add element** puts a new card on it,
and you can drag anything anywhere. Nothing here is fixed — it is your view,
not ours.

## Your own menu

Your avatar in the top-right opens your menu. It shows your name and your role
on the account, and holds **Automations**, **Support**, **Settings**, the light
and dark **Theme** switch, and **Sign out**.

## What to do next

* **[Set up your brand](/start/set-up-your-brand)** — the twenty minutes that
  change everything Goosy writes.
* **[Connect your channels](/start/connect-your-channels)** — let Goosy read
  your numbers and publish for you.
