# Publishing channels

> The channels a piece can go out on, what one connection covers, and what connecting a channel asks of you.

A piece can only go out on a channel your workspace has connected. Connections
live under **[Settings → Integrations](/setup/integrations)** — *connect external providers, view
health and reconnect when one drops* — and every lane reads the same list, so a
channel you connect once is offered everywhere a piece can go.

Channels are **per workspace**, because a channel is that workspace's own
identity. Connecting Instagram for one workspace never connects it for another.

## Where a piece can go out

| Channel              | What goes out                                                             |

| **Facebook**         | A post with your text and a link, or a video.                             |
| **Instagram**        | A post or a vertical cut, with its own caption, hashtags and cover frame. |
| **Threads**          | A short post with the piece attached.                                     |
| **YouTube**          | A video upload with its title, description, tags, chapters and thumbnail. |
| **LinkedIn**         | A company-page post.                                                      |
| **Business Profile** | A local post on your Google Business Profile.                             |

Each channel asks for slightly different things before a piece can go — a title
here, a cover frame there — and the piece's board lists exactly what is still
outstanding for the destinations you chose. See [Posts](/make/posts) for how the

## What one connection covers

Some channels share a single sign-in, so connecting one covers several:

Connecting a second service inside a family adds to the connection you already
have rather than making a second one, and the card tells you which family it
belongs to.

## What connecting asks of you

Most channels are a consent screen: press **Connect** on the card, sign in to
the platform, approve what Goosy is asking for, and you land back on the same
page with the card connected.

Two things are worth knowing before you start:

* **Approve everything the platform asks for.** A connection made with only part
  of the permissions looks connected and then refuses the publish. If a card
  says *permissions changed — reconnect to restore access*, that is the fix.
* **Some connections expire.** Platforms end a connection after a set period, or
  when you change a password on their side. The card then says *access expired —
  reconnect and your history is safe*, and it means it: reconnecting restores the
  channel, and nothing you have made is lost.

Each card also shows when its health was last checked, so a channel that has
quietly stopped working is visible before a publish fails.

**TikTok Ads is the exception to the consent screen.** TikTok has no way to
request access programmatically, so its connection is a short guided walkthrough
where you share an advertiser you already own from your own TikTok Business
Center.

## Advertising

Paid campaigns are a separate list from publishing, because they run on ad
accounts you own: **Meta**, **Google**, **LinkedIn** and **Snapchat**. See

## Email

Email does not go out through a channel connection. A finished sequence is handed
to [Goosy Grow (CRM)](/grow-crm), which does the sending — see
[Emails](/make/emails).

## Channels on the way

More channels are built and waiting on their platform's own approval — an app
review, an access application, or a tier upgrade on their side. **TikTok**, **X**
and **Pinterest** are the next publishing channels; **Snapchat Ads**, a
**website or blog** and a **podcast** follow them.

Their cards appear on the Integrations page so you can see what is on the shelf.
A card that is not connectable yet says so and offers no **Connect** button,
rather than sending you into a sign-in that cannot finish. When one becomes
connectable it simply does — nothing on a piece has to change, and the channel
becomes selectable where you choose where a piece goes.

Two channels people ask about and we do not support: **Reddit** and **Skool**.
Neither offers a way for a tool like Goosy to post on your behalf under terms we
can work within, so we do not offer it.
