Most confused conversations are vocabulary problems — two people using one word for two things. This is the word the product uses, so the screen and the answer agree. | Term | What it means | | ------------------------------------ | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | **Account** | The entity that holds the plan, the people and the billing. Everything else hangs off it. Not the same as your **Profile**. | | **Admin** | A role on an account. Manages people, permissions and the account's settings. [People and roles](/account/people-and-roles) | | **Analytics** | The screen that answers *how did the work do?* — headline numbers, one card per connected source, and a fuller view behind each. [Analytics](/work/analytics) | | **API key** | The credential your own tools use to reach your account. Created under **Settings → API & MCP**. [Authentication](/authentication) | | **Approval gate** | The stop in front of anything that publishes, spends, deletes or changes who can do what. It applies whatever your role and however the request was phrased. [How approvals work](/how-approvals-work) | | **Assistant** *(settings)* | How Goosy works with you — capture style, suggestions, check-ins, and the standing instructions you give him. [Tuning Goosy](/setup/assistant) | | **Avatars** | Your registry of presenters Goosy can put on camera, plus the library to pick new ones from. [Voices and avatars](/setup/voices-and-avatars) | | **Board** | Where work happens before it is finished — a canvas plus a conversation. What Goosy makes lands on one. [Boards and Splash Pad](/work/boards) | | **Brand** *(settings)* | Who you are and what you sell. The screen every generation reads from. Note that a *brand* in the everyday sense is a **Workspace** here. [Brand profile](/setup/brand-profile) | | **Client** | A role on an account, and the guest one: a client sees the work shared with them and nothing else. [People and roles](/account/people-and-roles) | | **clips** | Short source footage. What other tools call B-roll. | | **Compliance** *(settings)* | Standing disclosures, banned claims, and your regulated-industry posture. A locked disclosure's text cannot be edited while it stays locked. [Compliance](/setup/compliance) | | **Confirmation id** | The token an API action that spends credits hands back on its first call. Sending it on a second call is what runs the work. [Actions that spend credits](/api/spending-actions) | | **Connection** | Access to an account you own — a social profile, an ad account, analytics, your CRM — that Goosy publishes through or reads numbers from. Managed under **Settings → Integrations**. [Create and Grow](/create-and-grow) | | **Credits** | What production work is paid for in. Your balance and what you spent it on live under **Settings → Plan & billing** and **Settings → Usage** — they are read there, never recited by Goosy. [Your dashboard](/work/home) | | **Defaults** *(settings)* | Generation defaults — render mode, thumbnail profile and email type — that a narrower setting can override. [Defaults and timezone](/setup/defaults-and-timezone) | | **Export** | A copy of your material. There are two: one for a workspace, one for yourself. [Your data and privacy](/your-data-and-privacy) | | **Goosy** | The assistant. He is one teammate across the whole product, not a different bot per screen. [Meet Goosy](/meet-goosy) | | **Goosy Bear** | The product. | | **Goosy Does…** | The panel where you ask Goosy for work. It sits beside whatever screen you are on and knows which one that is. Bought on top of the Pro and Business plans and switched on per workspace. [Goosy Grow (CRM)](/grow-crm) | | **Grow** | The other capability pillar: the customer work, delivered by the Goosy Grow add-on. | | **Integrations** | The screen your connections live on. Also called **Connections** at the top of the page. [Integrations](/setup/integrations) | | **Knowledge** | What Goosy reads to understand your brand and market — your videos, competitors, articles, feeds and links. [Knowledge](/work/knowledge) | | **MCP** | The protocol an AI client speaks to reach your account directly, so an assistant can do the work rather than tell you how to. [Connect an assistant](/connect/any-client) | | **Member** | A role on an account. Does the work; does not manage people or billing. [People and roles](/account/people-and-roles) | | **Needs you** | The counted strip at the top of your dashboard holding the things that cannot move without a decision from you. | | **Notification** | What Goosy tells you about, and where. The bell in the top bar carries the unread count. [Notifications](/work/notifications) | | **Owner** | A role on an account, and the highest one. Closing the whole account is an owner's decision. [People and roles](/account/people-and-roles) | | **Piece** | One thing you publish. It carries its source, the platforms it is going to, the content itself, a platform version per platform, its slot on the week, and one approval that covers every platform on it. [The schedule](/work/schedule) | | **Platform version** | The copy of a piece written and sized for one platform — its own aspect ratio and the account it will publish to. | | **Production profiles** *(settings)* | How each kind of video actually gets made — the pipeline behind a format. [Production profiles](/setup/production-profiles) | | **Profile** | Your own settings — display name, avatar, email and privacy controls. Not the same as your **Account**. | | **Publish check** | What a failed publish becomes: a band above the week in Schedule, and a row waiting on you on your dashboard. | | **Reauth needed** | A connection whose access expired or was withdrawn at the provider's end. Press **Reconnect**. | | **Review** | The one queue holding everything waiting on your decision, whatever kind of work it is. [The schedule](/work/schedule) | | **Service account** | A key that belongs to a shared integration rather than to a person, so it does not leave when its creator does. [Service accounts](/api/service-accounts) | | **Spending & approvals** | The section under **Settings → Account** where you decide how much Goosy may do on his own before he checks with you. | | **Splash Pad** | The general-purpose board — where loose work goes before it is anything in particular. [Boards and Splash Pad](/work/boards) | | **Strategy** *(settings)* | Your positioning, audience promise and content pillars. Every artefact is scored against the active strategy. [Getting help](/help/getting-help) | | **Support access** | Your control over whether support may look at your account — answer a request, see who is looking, stop it in one click. [Voices and avatars](/setup/voices-and-avatars) | | **Week** | A publication week — the unit Schedule and the briefing both work in. | | **Workspace** | One business, brand or client inside an account, with its own content, settings, connected channels and knowledge. Nothing crosses between workspaces. Most people have exactly one. [Accounts and workspaces](/account/accounts-and-workspaces) | ## Two words that are easy to swap **Account and Profile.** Your *account* is the company — plan, people, billing. Your *profile* is you — your name, your avatar, your own preferences. **Account and Workspace.** The *account* holds the plan and the people; a *workspace* holds one business's work. When something is "missing", the most common cause by a wide margin is that it lives in a different workspace than the one you have open.
